Facilities

Available diving facilities in the North District are as follows:

Aberdeen Sports Village (http://www.aberdeensportsvillage.com/aquatics/diving)

Full Olympic diving facility, offering:

• Junior Learn to Dive – Dive Skills 1-4
• Adult Learn to Dive – Beginner and Improvers
• 1:1 diving lessons
• Supervised diving sessions
• Public diving sessions

Divers can also be invited to join Aberdeen Diving Club where there are currently 6 levels of squad operating:

• Club Ready
• Entry
• Junior Competitor 1
• Junior Competitor 2
• Junior Performance
• Masters

Members of Aberdeen Diving Club attend several competitions throughout the year including the Scottish Diving Levels events which take place across the various Scottish Diving Pools and the annual Scottish National Championships and Thistle Trophy.

Divers will also travel away to competitions in England and, on occasion, compete in international events.

A bit about Judy Wardlaw:

Judy joined Aberdeen Sports Village as Diving Co-ordinator and Aberdeen Diving Club as Head Coach in October 2016.

She has moved from Edinburgh where she coached for 12 years to elite potential level and worked closely with the team there on the Talent Development initiative. Judy’s remit will see her try to increase participation in the sport as well as developing talent.
