Masters

Masters Swimming is organised swimming for swimmers over the age of 25 (although swimmers from 18 may also be classed as Masters swimmers) and is promoted under the banner of FITNESS, FRIENDSHIP AND FUN.

Masters training may take part in sections of swimming clubs that offer swimming to open and age group too or in specialist masters swimming clubs. 

Many Masters swimmers compete in local, national and international swimming competitions but many do not, preferring to simply enjoy the company of like minded people in the water staying fit.  There is a wide range of abilities and ages within Masters swimming.

Many clubs offer Masters swimming either because they are Masters clubs or because they have a Masters section in the North DIstrict.
